WaveDivision Audio Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how WaveDivision, LLC ("WaveDivision," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our software, website, and services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Services, including:

  • Personal information, such as name, email address, and payment information;
  • Computer information, including hardware specifications, operating system details, and software versions;
  • Location information, such as IP address and general geographic location;
  • Usage data, including information about how you use our Services and interact with our content;
  • Device information, such as device identifiers, browser type, and settings;
  • Log data, including error reports and performance data.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

  • Directly from you when you provide it to us;
  • Automatically as you navigate through and use our Services;
  • From third-party sources, such as business partners and analytics providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our Services;
  • Process transactions and send related information;
  • Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages;
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests;
  • Personalize your experience and deliver content tailored to your interests;
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services;
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activities.

If you subscribe to product updates or start a free trial, we will email you about that product. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

If you send a support request, we store your name, email address, and message so we can reply, along with a one-way hash of your IP address to prevent abuse. Support emails are delivered through Resend.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share your personal information with:

  • Service providers who perform services on our behalf;
  • Business partners with whom we jointly offer products or services;
  • Law enforcement or other government agencies, as required by law or to protect our rights;
  • Other parties in connection with a company transaction, such as a merger, sale of company assets, or bankruptcy.

5. Service Providers We Use

These companies process personal information for us. Each receives only what it needs for the job described.

  • Stripe (payments): your name, email address, billing details, and payment method. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Google Firebase (accounts and database): your account email and sign-in credentials, your purchases and license records, newsletter sign-ups, and support requests.
  • Keygen (software licensing): your license key, a fingerprint of each computer you activate, and the dates your license is checked.
  • Resend (email delivery): your email address and the content of automated emails, including your license key email, product updates you subscribed to, and the support requests you send us through the website.
  • Google Workspace (our email inbox): support requests and our replies to you.
  • Vercel (website hosting and analytics): your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies.
  • GitHub (installer downloads): when you download an installer, the file is served by GitHub, which receives your IP address.
  • Google Analytics (website analytics) and Meta Platforms (advertising measurement): see Section 6.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Our website uses the following cookies and similar technologies:

  • Sign-in: Firebase keeps you signed in to your account using your browser's local storage.
  • Google Analytics (_ga cookies): tells us which pages are visited and how visitors arrive, so we can improve the site.
  • Meta Pixel (_fbp and _fbc cookies): tells Meta when a visitor who saw or clicked one of our Facebook or Instagram ads views a product, starts checkout, joins our email list, or makes a purchase.
  • Campaign cookie (wd_attr, kept for 90 days): if you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, we remember the campaign details from that link (for example utm_source) and the page you landed on, and store them with your purchase or sign-up so we know which campaigns work.
  • Cookie choice (wd_consent, kept for 180 days): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics and advertising cookies, so we do not ask again on every visit.
  • Region (wd_region, kept for one day): records only whether you appear to be visiting from a region where we must ask before setting analytics or advertising cookies. It does not store your country or your IP address.

The sign-in storage and the wd_consent and wd_region cookies are needed for the site to work and to respect your choice. The Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and campaign cookies are optional.

What we send to Meta. In addition to the Meta Pixel in your browser, our server sends the same events to Meta through its Conversions API. These events can include the page address, the product and purchase amount, your IP address and browser type, the Meta cookie values above, and, for purchases and email sign-ups, a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your email address. Meta uses this to match events to ad views and clicks, to measure our ads, and to decide who sees them. We do not send Meta your name, your payment details, or your unhashed email address.

Your choices. You can accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. If you visit from the EU, the UK or a similar region, we ask before any analytics or advertising cookie is set, and none is set unless you accept. We also honour Global Privacy Control signals: if your browser sends one, we treat it as a decline unless you have accepted. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can control how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Meta ad preferences, and you can install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing the information above with Meta for advertising may count as "sharing" or a "sale" under some laws, including California's. To opt out of that sharing, or to make any other privacy request, contact us through our support page.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the security of your personal information. However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • The right to access and receive a copy of your personal information;
  • The right to correct or update your personal information;
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information;
  • The right to object to or restrict the processing of your personal information;
  • The right to data portability.

9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
